Engineering Jobs Shortage is a Myth, Study Says
A new study found there is no shortage of qualified workers to fill engineering jobs.
The study, completed by researchers at Rutgers University and Georgetown University who looked at 30 years of data, found that there are plenty of graduates capable of filling scientist and engineering jobs. So why is it often said that America is lacking such workers?
The problem, it seems, is that many of those graduates opt for careers in other fields. While the report does not cite other fields specifically, it does note that many top science graduates have been hired by companies on Wall Street.
